Healing Crystals and gemstones are so beautiful to purchase but many people become concerned as to how to cleanse their crystals and gemstones, after buying them. Well, it is easy and I have included seven ways to quickly and easily cleanse your healing crystals and gemstones. Once you have purchased your crystals you should cleanse them immediately as crystals do absorb the energies of previous owners or anyone who may have come in contact with or touched the crystal.
A cleansed crystal will feel lovely, bright and positive whilst a crystal that feels heavy or hot may well need cleansing. There are several different ways of cleansing your crystal and they are all easy yet highly effective.
Wash your crystals or gemstones in rainwater and dry carefully as you would a crystal glass and place the crystal on a window sill where the sun will shine gently on them. Do not place the crystal where hot temperatures are shining on them as this will damage the crystal and cause the crystal to fade and crack if left there too long.
* Soak your crystal or gemstones in sea salt overnight, which is another excellent way to cleanse and clear your crystal of any unwanted or negative energies. Many people collect containers of seawater when visiting the ocean just for this purpose.
* Place your crystal outside on the night of the full moon which will cleanse your crystal of negative energies and totally recharge the crystal’s healing properties. Necklaces, bangles and rings can be hung on the branches of trees so the moonlight will shine on them.
* Herbs such as Sage, Myrrh, Sandalwood and Frankincense are also excellent to cleanse crystals. Just bury your crystal in the herbs and leave them overnight. This method is also very gentle on the crystals.
* Incense can also be used to cleanse the energies of your crystals and gemstones. Gently sweep the lit incense stick around the crystal
* Another favourite method for many people is to bury your crystals in the ground and allow the energies of mother earth to cleanse the crystals and gemstones. When using this method always place some kind of sign or marker in the exact spot where you have buried them as many a person has lost their crystals when using this method.
* Place your crystals in the soil of a pot plant and cover them with dirt [soil].
* Place the healing crystal or gemstones in the palms of your hands and send Reiki or any form of energy healing to the stones.
There are many ways to cleanse and recharge your healing crystals and gemstones although each method is equally effective. It really is a matter of personal choice and naturally depends on the amount of time you have to cleanse them. When your crystals and gemstones are cleansed and full recharged they will radiate vibrant energies and contain powerful healing properties.
