Carved Crystals

The art of crystal carving is ancient, with the earliest evidence of its use in China, within the Liangzhu culture over 5,000 years ago. Crystals being crystalline (!) are almost impossible to carve using saws and chisels and instead need to be cut with abrasive powders. This is time-consuming, hard work, which is why such pieces hold their value. I present here some of the nicest carved crystals on the market.
